Competition Team

Practices are Monday nights from 7 pm to 9 pm. First semester is free to any Company member. No experience required; no partner necessary. We welcome new faces each week and prepare you individually for each competition. No new steps will be taught, rather, we take the steps taught in lessons and combine them into a routine used for competition. We focus on proper technique and the performance aspects of competition style dancing.

While competition dancing can be expensive, you have the chance to earn Compay-paid competition fees if you participate in our fundraisers. For each competition, you will be paired with partners that complement your dance ability, and will have the option to compete in all of the dances you learn in lessons. Costuming is optional, however our team prides itself on looking sharp! Our consistent practice schedule and team unity allow the ISU BDCo. Competition Team to be a great place to expand your ballroom skills and meet new friends!
